Critical Thinking at Work
This certificate confirms that its holder can break down an argument in real work situations, name logical fallacies and avoid being misled by numbers or charts. The holder knows techniques for better decisions under uncertainty – from the outside view to the pre-mortem – and how to defend against manipulative tactics, social engineering and rumours within the organisation.
What the certificate proves
- Identifies hidden assumptions, logical fallacies and misleading use of numbers in meetings and business documents.
- Separates decision quality from outcomes and applies base rates, pre-mortems and calibrated estimates.
- Runs meetings in a way that brings out dissent and protects the team from groupthink.
- Detects manipulative tactics and scams such as CEO fraud and follows a verification protocol.
