How Critical Thinking Changes the Way We Decide
Critical thinking helps us avoid being swayed by false information and make decisions based on facts and logic.
Good decisions do not depend on having all the information – that rarely happens. They depend on knowing how good the information we have actually is.
A critical thinker distinguishes three levels of certainty: I know, I think and I hope. Simply naming them out loud – in a meeting, for example – improves the quality of a shared decision.
